Your Amazon experience begins the moment you arrive in Puerto Maldonado, where your professional tour guide will greet you at the airport, bus station, or your hotel. From the city, we embark on a 90-minute scenic drive through the countryside to the community of Filadelfia, the entry point to the Tambopata River. There, a 30-minute boat ride awaits—relax and take in the tranquil river views. Along the way, keep your eyes open for local communities and artisanal gold mining along the riverbanks.
Upon arrival at Collpa Chuncho Suites, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing local juice. After check-in, you’ll be guided to your private cabaña, each named in honor of a distinct Indigenous culture native to the Amazon, and nestled in the heart of the rainforest. sandoval lake lodge
