The Short Tour Macaw Lick Peru Tambopata Natural Area is a rare gem of ecological diversity. Unlike many other parts of the Amazon, Tambopata features a unique transition zone where lowland rainforest meets the Andean foothills and cloud forests—an intersection that supports an astonishing variety of flora and fauna.

This region is not just biologically rich—it’s also strategically vital. Conservationists have long recognized its potential as a wildlife corridor connecting Peru’s Manu National Park to Bolivia’s pristine jungles. The presence of intact forests and minimal human disturbance has allowed countless species to thrive here in ways they can’t elsewhere.
